This policy explains how the Alabama School Mental Health Network (ASMHN) handles information collected through this website. ASMHN is led by AltaPointe Health and operates as a collaborative network of Alabama Community Mental Health Centers.

This website is informational. It is not used to deliver mental health services and is not a patient portal. Clinical services described on this site are provided by participating Community Mental Health Centers, each of which maintains its own Notice of Privacy Practices governing protected health information. Questions about a student’s health information should be directed to the Community Mental Health Center providing that care.

We collect information you choose to submit through forms on this site — principally the participation questionnaires completed by Community Mental Health Center staff. That may include organization details, staff names, work phone numbers and email addresses, school contacts, and responses about programs, staffing, technology, and school participation.

Our web host also records standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, for security and site reliability.

Information submitted through this site is used to plan and implement the Network: confirming participation, identifying capabilities and technology needs, coordinating with schools and providers, and meeting reporting obligations associated with programme funding.

Information may be shared with participating Community Mental Health Centers and with agencies administering the programme where required. We do not sell information collected through this site, and we do not use it for advertising.

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect information submitted through this site, including encrypted connections. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Please do not submit protected health information or details about an individual student through the forms on this website.

This website is intended for school personnel, providers, and families — not for direct use by children. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children through this site.
